The Department of Transportation Office of Financial Management had a requirement to enhance the core competencies of its personnel in various aspects of its purview.
As desired outcomes, DOT-OFM wanted to assure employees’ awareness of their responsibilities and to enhance the standardization of processes to gain greater efficiencies. Knowledge and skills to be developed included budgeting, program management, internal controls, and the laws and regulations applicable to DOT.
To support these outcomes, Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) designed and developed a Web-based Training offering entitled Financial Management Training Program. Courses were targeted at various audiences internal to DOT-OFM.
The SCORM-conformant, Section 508-compliant courses were delivered via the Department’s Plateau Learning Management System.
