US Department of Agriculture- Information Security Training for USDA’s IT Department

 

USDA identified the need to develop a set of online, refresher training modules for their IT department on their responsibilities for certifying and accrediting federal information systems, and implementing IT controls. Modules were also required for IT and program area staff on contingency planning and on the legal and internal policy framework for IT security.

The five modules identified were:

  • Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA) Training

  • Certifying Officer Training

  • NIST 800-53 Controls

  • Information Systems Security Program Managers (ISSPM)

  • Contingency Planning

The duration for the USDA- WBT Course for USDA’s IT Department was approx. 3 hours. This course was also Section 508-compliant.
